DESCRIPTION
The 2022 “Noah” is a single vineyard Malbec from Stonegaze Vineyard.

VINEYARD
Situated one hundred and thirty metres above sea level, the vineyard is uniquely placed to receive cooling sea breezes from both the east and west. The site orientation is north/south with vine spacing at 1.5m and row width of 2.5m. The soil profile is a classic example of the well-drained gravelly soil famed in the region. Extensive granite gneiss rocks are present on site which adds to the mineral complexity available to the vines.

WINEMAKERS TASTING NOTE
Youthfully purple in the glass, this Malbec shows floral notes of violets and cherry with a hint of warm spice. The palate opens with a core of dark cherry and dry herbs as well as savoury notes of fresh earth. This wine finishes velvety and juicy yet framed by fine tannin that will enable it to age gracefully. Made in extremely limited quantities and only in exceptional years, this wine is a true reflection of season and site.

FOOD
Best served with leaner meats, fish (i.e. salmon), blue and other pungent soft cheeses.
