DESCRIPTION
The 2022 “Isabella” is a single vineyard Bordeaux blend comprising predominately Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), along with Merlot (28%), Malbec (7%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (5%).

VINEYARD
Situated one hundred and thirty metres above sea level, the vineyard is uniquely placed to receive cooling sea breezes from both the east and west. The site orientation is north/south with vine spacing at 1.5m and row width of 2.5m. The soil profile is a classic example of the well-drained gravelly soil famed in the region. Extensive granite gneiss rocks are present on site which adds to the mineral complexity available to the vines.

WINEMAKERS TASTING NOTE
This classic Bordeaux blend delivers aromas of cassis, bay leaf, and crushed violets. The palate shows ample and refined, with hints of cedar, cocoa and graphite well supported by a framework of firm yet fine tannins. Sourced from an exceptional, gravel rich vineyard in the Yallingup hills, this wine is a true reflection of season and site.

FOOD
Best served with rich red meats, game, pasta or spicy Asian dishes.
