STONEGAZE VINEYARD IS A BOUTIQUE TWO HECTARE VINEYARD LOCATED NEAR YALLINGUP IN THE MARGARET RIVER REGION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

2015 early morning vineyard inspection
by the then very young viticulturists, Isabella & Noah
The owners Wayne & Jill McGriskin purchased the property in 2001. Unsure of what to grow on site, they arranged for a soil survey to be undertaken by Quinlan Soil Dynamics from Margaret River in November 2008. The results indicated the soil type was highly suitable for viticulture.
The vineyard was established in 2009 and the owners relocated to the site in 2011 to fulfill their dream of establishing their own wine label after a lifetime of working in finance and raising two daughters in Perth. Over the years the yield has steadily increased and the quality improved as the vines matured with age.
The current 2022 Cabernet Blend and Malbec vintages are named after two of the grandchildren of the owners, namely “Isabella” and “Noah”.
At Stonegaze we utilise natural organic farming practices within the vineyard, with no chemical herbicides or pesticides and minimal interference to the dry grown vines. We ensure this minimalist approach is continued by our contract winemaker.

8 years on and another early morning vineyard inspection by the viticulturists, this time with our latest team member Molly in 2023
